Clara Bow but about Percy and Jason being Rhea and Kronos little clones

One day Hera does something that causes her image of an ideal daughter to crack.
Perhaps she fails some important exam or her number in the competition does not get the first place. There is no perfect result that Hera could proudly present to her parents and receive their love and warmth.
But Jason still arrives to pick her up on time and she is afraid to see the disappointment in his eyes in her father's eyes.
But Jason is gentle and affectionate to her as usual - he sits down on his knees in front of her, gently takes her face in his palms and his golden gaze is full of love.
"You are my daughter" there is no tremor in his voice, during the days of their "dollhouse game" treating them like their own children has become something familiar and normal "I love you endlessly just for this fact, not for your achievements and victories, just for what you exist, you are my girl and Percy's girl, no matter what."
He hugs her and Hera still feels Daddy's love.
Hera being an overachiever eldest daughter is so real of her 😭 Like, she's been carrying this family on her back for aeons and she can't just let it go even when she's playing pretend.
If Jercy gets to have kids of “their own”, either adopting a baby or having a baby through divine interference or omegaverse or genderbend or whatever, that's really not the point here, the thing is: Jercy gets a baby. An actual mortal baby.
Oh, the six are drenching in jealousy. But it's not just that, suddenly Jason ain't the nicest dad who ever lived anymore, because trauma comes back to knock on the door and suddenly the big six is like this to Percy: YOU HAVE TO HIDE, YOU HAVE TO RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN, WE WILL PROTECT YOU NO MATTER WHAT, MAKE SURE HE’S WELL FED WHEN THE BABY ARRIVES.
Well, Jercy tries to talk them out of this paranoia. They have a lot of talking about how they do not treat cannibalism as a family dynamic, but the gods are not very convinced. Suddenly, poor Jason is being hissed at all the time.
Then, the baby arrives. Hey, cannibalism is really NOT a family dynamic in that family.
That was supposed to be the happy ending, right?
Nope. Now they hate the baby. Father obviously love them more than us.
Yeah… They’re competing with a baby. They call the baby “Rock” as an insult. In fact, Zeus ends up the one to antagonize the baby the least, because he also never went through the “being eaten by your father” experience, so now turns out he can sympathise with a sibling of his. He’s #1 older brother to the baby, it's actually cute.
It's not cute that the other five are jealous of it too. I mean, Heatia is mostly cool, but she's definitely sadder and quieter ever since the baby was born.

The big six pretending to be mortal children have lunch at Jercy's house and act as if they are ordinary children who came after school/kindergarten while their parents are at work and waiting for them to return home.
Hestia heats up the food, Demeter cleans up the house a little "so that mom can rest more after work," Hera helps, plays and watches Hades, Poseidon and Zeus. girls are schoolgirls, boys are kindergarten students.
Hestia and Demeter are talking about how Hestia has not yet chosen which specialty she wants to study and that she should consult with their "parents" and that Demeter recently noticed a wonderful place on the Internet where they could have a "family" picnic on the weekend.
Hera tries to calm the naughty boys because they are small and want a "mom" and not an older sister, and also tells the sisters that she got the highest score for the final test and can't wait for her "father's" praise and a "mother's" warm look.
And they run away like bats from hell as soon as Jason/and/or Percy's footsteps sound.
At some point, Jercy’s neighbours start asking about their kids. And they just go: What kids?
‘The six kids that are always in your house’
There’s that moment Jason and Percy look at each other in acknowledgement, then they smile at their neighbour ‘Yeah, our kids, Jason.’ Percy murmurs, without blinking. ‘You know, the one we started taking care of when we were KIDS too.’
‘You had kids young?’
‘Oh, yeah. Very young.’ Jason comments. ‘In fact, we have to take them from school like, right now.’
And they go to Olympus, to get everything straight because they already think it's some new world-ending situation the gods wants them to take care of.
Nope, just adoption.
Somehow, they get out of there with a deal that, if they play dollhouse with the big six, they get to tell how other demigods will be treated.
Not exactly what Percy had on his bingo card when he woke up that Thursday morning.

You can't tell me that the big six don't turn into kids at least once a month and just watch Jason and Percy's home comfort.
Hestia, Demeter, and Hera turn into teenagers, Hades, Poseidon and Zeus - in young children.[This is the only time Zeus has ever admitted in any way that he is the youngest].
And they're just watching Jason and Percy lead their little lives.
Percy cooks in the kitchen, his dainty fingers gently mixing the ingredients to make an apple pie for dinner, while Jason gently flirts with him, trying to steal sliced apples.
It looks so gentle and homely-Jason's hands on Percy's waist, Percy's light playful laugh, Jason's nose in Percy's hair, Jason's kisses on Percy's bare shoulders and the trusting pressing of Percy's crown to Jason's neck.
And the older Olympians imagine themselves as children watching the PDA of their parents.
they even have a one-sided dialogue - Hestia advises "mom" to add a little cinnamon to honey so that it is both spicy and sweet, Hera asks "dad" if he will come to her performance in the school choir, Hades blushes and asks "parents" to be more modest, Zeus irritably asks if dinner will be ready soon...
Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon and Zeus deep down, are still children who yearn to have parents.
This is so saaaaad 😭😭😭 let me make it sadder 😈
Jercy doesn't even know the gods are there. The big six are just invisibly hanging around the house, pretending they live there with their parents and they're just ordinary mortal/legacy kids.
But now for the humour…
I mean, after some time Percy starts to notice things out of place, their food disappearing overnight. He goes after Nico and (heh) Uncle Hades to question if his apartment is haunted. Hades accidentally goes “No, mom.” Silence. Very awkward. Percy doesn’t understand what's going on, but Demeter is there and she starts screaming at Hades and calls him stupid.
Points if Hades offers Percy and Jason pomegranate juice and this turns into an actual topic in the Olympian Council. Zeus accuses Hades of trying to gatekeep their parents, and the other Olympians are just sitting there watching the Big Six throw words at each other faces without a single idea about what that is about.
Things would possibly get even more confusing when Hades says: at least MY son isn't a grandmother’s beater *looking straight at Ares*
Eventually, Percy and Jason would notice what's going on, I guess. Maybe the Big Six would approach them pretending to be orphans or unclaimed demigods in need of a family, but it would explode in their faces because Percy would SEETHE that the gods were seemingly ignoring their kids again.
He would break into Olympus to complain and… ouch, that conversation will need a therapist to go on…
At some point Zeus would go all “Littlest Sibling Mode” and just point at one of his brothers and say “It was HIS idea, mom! He forced me to do it 😔”
Do you think the Big Three would cry if Jason ever complimented them as “these are my boys”? Because I do.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I'm hera rhea Anon, but I meant, did you have any hcs that you could expand on here? Like tell us on tumblr I didn't mean in fic sorry!
Oh, okay. Well, I already posted a lot about it in my page but I have the bad habit of not tagging things properly! But I can see she’s really trying to make Percy and Jason her idealised version of her parents. Just to see how it’d feel to have loving parents. To the point she’d be more focused on that than in anything else 😂

headcanon, - Jason and Percy's eyes change color like Piper's.
Jason's eyes are usually electric blue with a noticeable golden iridescence, but when he experiences positive feelings and emotions such as joy or glee, his eyes turn bright yellow like melted gold.
When he is angry, his eyes are blue with golden flecks, when he is sad, his eyes are pale blue with a golden rim around the iris and pupil.
Percy's eyes just change color regardless of his feelings and emotions. At one moment his eyes are bright green like meadows, at another they are oceanic blue, and at the third time they are generally the color of the sea wave, sometimes sky blue, sometimes grassy green.
And they also inherited the expression in the eyes of Kronos and Rhea! One cold look from Jason can make the entire legion shut up and obey him, one soft look from Percy can make you feel comfortable and cozy.
Ooohhh, I love that. Imagine Jason being mad at the gods for something, he obviously wouldn't directly say it like Percy, but his eyes just SHOW it.
Imagine Hera’s talk with Jason at the end of TLH, but all she sees is her father’s eyes looking at her. In fact, in a way, if she wants to, she can remember this whole situation as her father saving her from Porphyrion.
Like, obviously she knows it wasn't him… but that’s close enough, isn't it? She probably just wants to indulge herself with some harmless fantasy (she basically uses Jason to fill the void left by her husband and father, but she doesn't admit it).
And the elder titans that fought (well, not Kronos in this case, just Hyperion and Iapetus) Percy basically being forced to remember about the little sister they basically abandoned to suffer in the hands of Kronos. Maybe an additional reason Bob is so attached to Percy? 👀✨ Something deep, deep, DEEP down itches with guilt every time he looks at him.
Also, Percy and Jason having a talk and the gods are near… but NO one dares to interrupt because, hey, Mom and Dad are speaking now.

No PJO headcanon got me in a tighter chokehold than Percy being Rhea's lookalike and Jason being Kronos' lookalike.
The FLAVOUR!!! The POTENTIAL!!!
The Big Six mixed feelings about them, the uncanny feeling of seeing your parents in kids that look up to you
Jason doing everything to make Zeus proud, but nothing will ever be enough to get his attention and care because he'll always have the face of the person his father hates the most
But then, Percy is the mini Rhea, so even though Zeus hates Percy by default (because that's Poseidon's spawn), he can't stop but paying attention to whatever Percy is doing ALL THE TIME, because he looks like the person he loved the most in his life (before he became everything she despised)
Also, yeah, very nice Percy looks like mom 🥰🥰🥰 hey 🤨 wasn't mom the one to trick dad and ultimately start his downfall??? Maybe we should worry about that 🤔
Hera!!!!! Zeus gave her his DIY version of their father, and he's a mortal that she can rule as much as she likes. The emotional confusion of it all. And, hey, Poseidon just made a DIY Rhea? Yup, she's stealing it from him. Yay, time to play dolls with mom and dad, literally the closest thing she'll ever got from bonding time with her parents.
Luke having to listen to Kronos rant about how much Percy looks like his wife (creepy)
Krios looking at Jason before their fight like "Bro, why do you look fifteen? Weird."
Poseidon accidentally calling Percy mom and never talking about it again
Makes every time Percy complained about the gods sound like a Mom Scolding Time
Jason and Percy being at the same time and place with the Big Six and they're ALL uncomfortable
Zeus SEETHING that Poseidon got little Rhea and HE is stuck with a little Kronos (I'm sorry Jason, my baby, you deserved so much more than him 😭)

Does Zeus want to smite Percy and her kids? Yes, does he prefer the fact that Apollo is the son that got her pregnant because that way he'll never have to sit through Hera setting up his mom lookalike with his dad lookalike? Also yes, he'd never emotionally recover if they actually married and had a child that looked like Zeus, so Apollo really came through with this one
Tumblr media
Zeus and Apollo
No, because like, FOR REAL! He already has to deal with way to much unpacked feelings toward the fact that Poseidon somehow got himself a mini Rhea while he’s stuck with the Kronos’ clone motherfucker (yeah, yeah, his son, whatever). NOW the mini Rhea had BABIES. Which didn’t improve his mommy issues. Imagine if Jason was out there being a NICE father to those kids? Nope. He’d go crazy.
Now he (and Zeus don’t believe he’s saying that) needs to get Apollo and Percy married, because Hera is goddess of marriage and not of fruitful Long Term, Long Distance, High Commitment, Casual Attachments. If he doesnt act quick enough, she might still try something between that boy and Rhe- I mean, Percy.

Waiiiiiiiit Annabeth has a halo and Jason doesn't, does that mean anything????
Glad you went with your headcanon of Jason/Kronos and Percy/Rhea lookalike! After all these years on Gaea's island, does Percy resemble Rhea more than before? Can't wait to see the gods' reaction to her! Can't wait for a lot of things actually. Your fanfic is gold 🥹
Yup! It does. It’ll be clearer in the following chapters, but while Annabeth is a leader of her own devices and master of her choices. Jason is the Roman’s leader, but in a position of somewhat subservience to whatever Rome and Jupiter expects of him. That’s why the halo is in the eagle.
I love that headcanon I couldn’t let it go. And yes, she probably looks a lot more like Rhea now, but it’s more about the ✨feeling✨ than only looks, I mean, she went full Mother ️.
Thanks for commenting 💕✨
